National Reisling Day, May 1, 2013
National Riesling Day will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 across all of the United States and in certain countries around the world. May 1st is significant as it heralds the beginning of wine month in New York and in ancient times was the celebrated “first day of summer”. To participate in National Riesling Day, consumers are asked to visit a local winery, wine shop or grocery store and make a purchase of at least one bottle of Riesling. This activity will create a “cash mob” of sorts and will demonstrate to the world, the popularity of wine, in general and Riesling, specifically. Torrey Ridge will be offering a special incentive on National Riesling Day to encourage on site visitations. This information and details will be shared via Facebook on April 30, 2013.
